Napoleon Hill wrote Think and Grow Rich in 1937. He had interviewed the 500 most successful men in America, DuPont, Carnegie, Edison, Firestone, Ford, and many others. TheKeys to Success developed from that book and have been studied by many of today’s successful business people such has Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Donna Karan and Bill Gates. When you put the philosophy of the 17 Principles of Achievement into action you will become a success at whatever you do.

About the Speaker:  Kevin Carter is a Ziglar Legacy Certified motivational speaker, trainer, and personal coach, attaining these certifications in Plano, Texas at the world-famous Zig Ziglar Institute. Kevin enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1972, was the Honor Man of his platoon, meritoriously promoted twice and was chosen to be on a joint honor cordon for the 1973 inauguration of President Richard Nixon.  He was promoted to Corporal in 1973 and Sergeant in 1974 and received an honorable discharge that same year. In 1976 he began his career is in the construction industry as a laborer, and became a superintendent, for 25 years, supervising such projects as the Par-a Dice Hotel in East Peoria, IL, and the Peoria Chiefs Ball Park (completed in 10 months at a cost of $16,000,000) in Peoria, IL. He later was Director of Business Development for a major construction company in Central Illinois. Kevin became an instructor in 2010 at Illinois Central College, North Campus to assist minorities and low-income students to learn about and prepare themselves for a career in the construction trades. He retired in 2017 as the Executive Director of PALM (Peoria Area Labor Management Council) and TRICON (Tri-County Construction Labor Management Council). In 2018 after an approximately yearlong study, The Napoleon Hill Foundation awarded The PMA Science of Success Certificate (based on the 17 Principles of Achievement to Kevin. Kevin regularly gives presentations to various educational facilities and private organizations.  His presentations on leadership, communication, work ethic, and his “The $ecret to $ucce$$” presentation have been given to students of all ages, to give them a guide to succeeding in the work place and life.
